Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA) of 1967

Legislation that protects workers age 40 and over by prohibiting discrimination against workers 40 and over in any employment or employment-related decision. The Act applies to most employers with a minimum of 20 employees. Under the Act is employers are no longer allowed to force an employee to retire (with very few exceptions)
