Our client is a subsidiary of a major European energy utility, providing software solutions and consulting services to the global energy sector. The company is actively seeking for a hands-on and dynamic Vice President of Sales and Business Development to build the overall sales, business development, and key account management activities of its subsidiary in the United States, targeting mainly the utilities sector (oil/gas transmission).

As a core member of the executive management, it is expected that this role shall provide leadership towards building the account base and achieving maximum market share and profitability for the US subsidiary, replicating the growth of the business pipeline in Europe.

 The successful candidate must hold a Bachelor's Degree in Business, Information Technology (IT), Software Engineering, or a related discipline; a graduate degree in Engineering or an MBA would be desirable. Aspirants must have at least five (5) years of proven leadership experience in technical sales, sales process, and consultative selling in the energy / utilities sector. Proven track record and experience selling software or IT solutions within the oil & gas, energy and/or pipeline industry with prior sales budget management and P&L responsibility would be an advantage. Particular experience in asset management systems, geographical information systems (GIS), integrity management and/or risk assessment systems would be desirable. Any training and/or certification in Asset Integrity Management, Risk Based Inspection and / or Process Safety Management is a definite plus.
